Re: Universal Tax Credits:

The Enhanced Review Team of Universal Credit has recently sent to many, many heimishe claimants around the country a strongly worded message, suspending people’s claims and requesting you to call them. Once you have made this initial phone call back to them (which should be done within a few days), they inform you, that you (or both claimants in a couple), will receive a detailed telephone interview call from one of their team “within 2 days”.
This interview, which can last anywhere between 15 minutes to over an hour, will ask you many details about your claim to UC, including the following.

– Hours and FULL details of your employment (your employer, hours and place that you work, wage details etc).

• – Details about your company if you are a director (and therefore treated as self-employed)
• – Hours and full details of your child care (which can only take place during both of your employment hours)
• – Where you live and who lives with you – children etc.
• – Details about your tenancy and rental payments (how much and method of payment etc).

Following this call, they will then send you a long list of ‘to-dos’ in your journal, requesting a lot of evidence and giving you 14 days to reply and submit. You can start submitting straight away – you do not have to wait until you have all the requested information available. You may upload a few a day until you have completed it all. You can request more ‘to-dos’ if necessary.
If everything is satisfactory they will then reopen your claim again.
Hopefully iy”h this large exercise will pass without problems.
