IRGC fires missiles at US forces in Jordan, the first Iranian attack since Trump paused strikes

The US military says it intercepted multiple missiles launched by Iran, marking the first reported Iranian attack on an American target since President Donald Trump declared over the weekend that he would halt strikes following two weeks of fighting.

“Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps forces launched multiple ballistic missiles from Iran in an attempted surprise attack on US forces based in the Middle East,” Central Command (CENTCOM) writes, adding that “all Iranian missiles were successfully intercepted.”

More than 60 aftershocks recorded following earthquake, meteorological agency says

Japan’s meteorological agency says there were a total of 61 aftershocks recorded following today’s initial earthquake.

It says these ranged from one to six in seismic intensity.

For comparison, after the 2016 earthquake in Kumamoto that injured more than 1,000 and killed over 40 people, it says that quakes with a seismic intensity of seven quakes took place over two days.

Alongside the magnitude measurement scale, Japan uses its own seismic intensity scale.

This ranges from zero to seven in severity. According to Japan’s meteorological agency, zero means people do not feel any shaking at all, external, while seven means furniture will be moved or thrown around by the quake, and buildings that have low resistance to earthquakes might collapse.

Netanyahu: Trump meeting was ‘one of the best we’ve ever had’

Before heading to the memorial service for the late senator Lindsey Graham, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says his “excellent” meeting with US President Donald Trump was one of the best sit-downs the two leaders have ever had.

“It was a meeting with full cooperation,” he says in a video, “with mutual support, with understanding on the joint goal that Iran won’t have nuclear weapons, and also other goals.”

“It was one of the best conversations I’ve had with our friend, US President Trump,” Netanyahu insists.

The meeting, he says, was “an opportunity to exchange ideas, and also to coordinate on things that are important for the security and for the future of Israel.”

Settler teen arrested for suspected assault on Palestinian woman and child

Police arrest a settler teen suspected of assaulting a mother and her child, as well as abusing a dog during a raid on a Palestinian village in the southern West Bank.

The 16-year-old suspect had been on the run for the past two months after the May 27 attack on Khirbet a-Rakiz. Officers tracked him down to a hideout near Kibbutz Sde Boker in southern Israel, police say.

He is believed to be the assailant filmed taking a club to one of the village watchdogs, and in a separate clip from the raid, entering the home of a resident and pushing a woman to the ground as her toddler clung to her.

He was taken in for questioning and will be brought before a judge later today, where police will request to keep him in custody.

Netanyahu and Zelensky speak in person for first time in 3 years at Graham funeral

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke and shook hands with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky before senator Lindsey Graham’s funeral service on Tuesday, after both leaders were hosted separately at the White House by US President Donald Trump.

The conversation looked to be quite serious but cordial, and Netanyahu and Zelensky smiled during their handshake.

They had not spoken since January 2025 and the last time they met in person was September 2023. The two explored arranging a formal meeting in Washington on Tuesday, but ultimately did not move ahead with the idea.
Netanyahu’s office rebuffed a request to meet.
The Prime Minister’s Office proposed the sit-down but never responded after Zelensky agreed. There was no immediate comment from either side on the report.

Also Tuesday, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar spoke with his Ukrainian counterpart Andrii Sybiha and invited him to visit Israel.

“We discussed the challenges facing our nations, including the threat posed by Iran,” said Sa’ar.

“Israel and Ukraine are friends, and I look forward to further deepening our cooperation, including through the establishment of new education centers in Ukrainian hospitals,” wrote Sa’ar.

Sybiha said that he accepted Sa’ar’s invitation, adding that he updated his Israeli counterpart “about Russia’s escalation of terror against civilian vessels and freedom of navigation in the Black Sea and their implications for global food security, including for Israel as an importer.”
