Jewish Business in London Vandalised in Suspected Antisemitic Attack
picture hole

A Jewish-owned property business in Stamford Hill- London was ransacked overnight on Wednesday in what community leaders have condemned as a clear act of antisemitic targeting.

The incident, which took place in the heart of Stamford Hill, saw windows smashed, computers and furniture destroyed, and red paint sprayed across the shopfront. The words “Drop Elbit” were daubed on the pavement outside — a reference to Israeli defence firm Elbit Systems, despite the business having no ties to Israel.

Anti-Israel group Palestine Action later claimed responsibility, alleging the firm were landlords of a Kent-based Elbit factory. However, local rabbinic and communal leaders insist the business is entirely unconnected.

Rabbi Herschel Gluck, president of Shomrim and a prominent Stamford Hill figure, said, “This should be treated as an antisemitic incident without any doubt. The owners are visibly Jewish. The people who run this business have nothing to do with Israel.”

CCTV footage shows two masked individuals carrying out the attack. The Metropolitan Police confirmed they are treating it as “racially aggravated criminal damage” and have stepped up patrols in the area.

“Anyone with information is asked to call 101 and quote CAD 1397/29MAY. You can also provide information anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

A historic visit is set to take place as leading Gedolei Yisroel from Eretz Yisroel prepare to travel to the United States in support of the ambitious Keren Olam HaTorah campaign.

The Gedolim are expected to arrive in New York during the week of Parshas Shelach, spearheading a global effort to raise over $100 million for yeshivos and kollelim in Eretz Yisroel. The campaign comes in response to severe budget cuts that have left many Torah institutions struggling to remain afloat.

This unprecedented initiative reflects a remarkable sense of achdus across the Torah world, uniting communities around the globe in support of Torah learning.

Joining this monumental mission will be a delegation of renowned Torah leaders, including Rav Moshe Hillel Hirsch, Rav Dov Landau, and the Sanzer and Rachmistrivka Rebbes.

It was also announced that the Gerrer Rebbe will take part in the campaign and is expected to attend key events during the visit, including the chanukas habayis of a Gerernew cheder campus in Boro Park, further underscoring the importance of strengthening Torah education in the diaspora.

Final details of the itinerary are still being arranged and will be released in the coming days.

British Airways rep: Israel flights cancelled for political reasons
picture hole

British Airways has admitted that political considerations played a role in its decision to suspend flights to Israel until the end of July. Speaking before the Knesset Economics Committee, Adv. Shirly Kazir—representing the UK carrier and other foreign airlines—acknowledged the political backdrop to the move, even as she lobbied for economic incentives to help restore services.

Kazir, a partner at FBC law firm and head of its Aviation, Maritime & Tourism Department, referenced the May 4 missile attack on Ben Gurion Airport, after which Transport Minister Miri Regev introduced a temporary policy easing compensation obligations for airlines. That policy expired on May 12.

Despite requesting similar financial benefits offered to US-bound airlines, committee chairman MK David Bitan (Likud) was unimpressed. “But you still haven’t returned, so what do you want?” he asked sharply, adding, “Maybe the Prime Minister on the left who was elected there doesn’t want to fly to Israel.”

Kazir responded, “There are certainly many political considerations here. No one denies that.”

Bitan dismissed the request for parity with US-bound carriers, stating that US routes posed a greater challenge and the government should not be expected to subsidize global corporations indiscriminately.

US judge blocks Trump from suspending Biden-era migrant ‘parole’ programs
picture hole

A U.S. federal judge has inflicted another blow to the Trump administration’s efforts to end a multiple Biden-era parole program for hundreds of thousands of migrants from Afghanistan, Latin America and Ukraine.

U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani of Massachusetts on Wednesday ordered the Trump administration to resume processing applications from those migrants who are seeking work permits or renewing their status.

Talwani, an appointee of former President Barack Obama, rejected the Trump administration’s claim that suspending the parole programs was within its broad discretion to direct immigration policy.

Israel News
IDF says it intercepted Houthi missile that triggered sirens across central Israel

A ballistic missile launched at Israel by the Iran-backed Houthis in Yemen was successfully intercepted by air defenses a short while ago, the military says.

Sirens had sounded across central Israel, several West Bank settlements, and towns near Jerusalem. Preceding the sirens by three minutes, an early warning was issued to residents, alerting civilians of the long-range missile attack via a push notification on their phones.

Since March 18, when the IDF resumed its offensive against Hamas in the Gaza Strip, the Houthis in Yemen have launched 42 ballistic missiles and at least 10 drones at Israel. Several of the missiles have fallen short.

Baby of pregnant terror victim dies in hospital after 2-week fight for his life

The baby of Tzeela Gez, who was shot and killed in a Palestinian terror attack in the northern West Bank earlier this month, was niftar this morning in the hospital, the Samaria Regional Council announces.

Gez was shot and fatally wounded as she was driving to the hospital with her husband to give birth on the night of May 14. She was rushed to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva after the terror attack and her baby was delivered by emergency C-section.

The baby, who was named Ravid Haim last week by his father in accordance with his wife’s wishes, had been in serious condition since his birth, and he was niftar this morning in hospital despite the efforts of the medical team treating him.

Meital Ben Yosef, head of the Bruchin settlement where the Gez family lives, says the community is “in pain and mourning” for the passing of Ravid Haim.

“A baby who was supposed to be born and enter the world with great joy and great expectations took his last breath this morning after teetering between life and death since the day he was born exactly two weeks ago,” says Ben Yosef.

“A wretched and vile terrorist murdered a mother and her son together in an attempt to erase and destroy the Jewish people,” she continues, adding that Bruchin will “increase construction and settlement and expand the boundaries of life and holiness,” and “make it clear to all our enemies that we are here in the inheritance of our ancestors and will remain here forever!”

Hamas demands changes to Witkoff’s new Gaza ceasefire proposal
picture hole

Hamas said Thursday it does not accept the outline of US envoy Steve Witkoff’s proposed ceasefire and hostage deal at face value and demands certain changes, according to people familiar with the matter.

Hamas feels deceived by the US administration, believing it has been “screwed over” with a pro-Israel proposal that does not guarantee an end to the war, an informed source familiar told The Jerusalem Post.

The information provided by the sources conflicts with reports published in Saudi newspaper Al-Hadath, which indicated that Hamas will shortly agree to a 60 day ceasefire in exchange for the release of 10 living hostages and the bodies of 18. As part of the proposal, the report claimed that 125 Palestinian prisoners serving life sentences and 1,111 prisoners arrested after October 7, would also be released, and aid would be increased to the Gaza Strip.

The proposal also requires all hostages to be returned to Israel within a week, leaving Hamas without further leverage, the source said.

Hamas said the new proposal was more biased in favor of Israel than previous proposals, and that Witkoff accepted most of the demands presented by Ron Dermer in a meeting with him on Tuesday, a source close to Hamas told Walla.
