The Ziknei HaDor also fulfill the minhag of kapparos by tzedakah to Kupat Ha’ir, as they have instructed in their letters, that
“the most excellent tzedakah to tear up an unfavorable decree
is the tzedakah to Kupat Ha’ir.”
